Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
In short:
- Each person's work lives in their own Workbench. Other users cannot open it, and our staff look inside only in the narrow cases section 8 lists.
- We read your Google, Microsoft or other connected accounts only to do what you ask or what you switched on, and you choose which services to connect.
- We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
- Your content goes to the AI model provider used for your Workbench, only to answer you. With an on-device model it does not leave your computer.
1. Who we are
137x.ai is operated by The AI Technology FZ-LLC (licence no. 47021008), a free zone limited liability company registered in the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), United Arab Emirates, at FDBC3818, Compass Building, Al Shohada Road, Al Hamra Industrial Zone-FZ, Ras Al Khaimah ("we", "us"). This policy covers the website at 137x.ai, the 137x.ai Workbench and its sign-in service at awake.137x.ai, and the 137x.ai desktop app for Mac and Windows (together, the "Service").
Questions or requests about your information: contact@137x.ai.
2. Who decides about your information
The Service is for personal use: you use it for yourself, and you decide what goes into your Workbench. We are the controller of the information this policy describes and decide how it is used. Organisations can also run 137x.ai on their own servers; this policy does not cover that — the organisation decides about the information there, under its own policy and its agreement with us.
3. What we collect
On the website
- Access requests. If you leave your email address to request access, we receive it by email so we can reply.
- Server logs. Our web server records technical details of each request — IP address, browser type, the page asked for and the time — to keep the site running and secure.
- Fonts. The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when the page loads.
- The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers.
Your account
- Your name and email address, set when you are invited, and the password you choose (kept by our sign-in service; we never see it in readable form).
- When you agreed to our Terms of Service and were shown this policy, and which version of each.
- A record of sign-ins and of administrative actions, such as an account being created or a setting being changed, kept as an audit log so the Service can be secured and checked.
- If you use the desktop app: the computers signed in to your account and the app version each one runs, so old versions can be updated.
- If you turn on notifications: the address your browser's notification service gives us to deliver them.
Your work
What you create and keep in your Workbench: conversations (including what the AI read and did during them), documents and files, memory the AI keeps for you, people and contacts, tasks, routines, automations, AI colleagues you set up, and meeting recordings and transcripts. It is stored in your own Workbench, separate from everyone else's (see section 8).
A meeting recording captures the voices of everyone in it. The Service asks you to confirm that everyone agreed before it records. Speech is turned into text inside your Workbench, not by an AI model provider; when you ask for notes, the transcript is sent to your model provider like any other content (section 5). To tell speakers apart, the Service measures voice features while it transcribes; it keeps only which speaker spoke when, never the voice features, and does not use them to identify anyone.
Other people's information
Your work can include information about people who do not use the Service — the people in a meeting, people who email you, people in your calendar and contacts. We handle it only to provide the Service to you, under the same rules as your own information. Someone who wants to ask about information of theirs that may be in a Workbench can write to contact@137x.ai; we pass the request to the person whose Workbench it is, and help them answer.
Connected accounts
If you connect an account, the access token it issues and what the AI reads from it, as section 4 describes.
Technical information
- A random installation identifier, sent with requests to the AI model provider and with the status signal below. It does not contain your name or email address.
- A periodic status signal from your Workbench to our sign-in service — whether it is running, when its next scheduled routine is due, and which settings it applied — so it can be woken for routines and kept up to date. It does not contain your content.
4. Connected services
You can connect accounts so the AI can work with them — for example Google, Microsoft 365, LinkedIn, or a business system such as ERPNext. You choose which services to connect and, where the service allows it, which parts of it, and you can change that later. These rules apply to every connected service:
- Access. We store the access token the service issues inside your Workbench, and read from the account only to provide the features you use and can see in the Service: when you ask the AI to do something, or when an automation, routine or AI colleague you set up and switched on runs. Nothing is read in the background for any other purpose.
- Changes ask first. Sending an email always needs your approval for that message, and this cannot be switched off. Other changes to a connected account — creating, editing, sharing or deleting — ask you by default, unless you choose otherwise.
- Model providers. The parts of a connected account a task needs are sent to the AI model provider configured for your Workbench (section 5), only to produce the answer or action you asked for. We never send it so that we or anyone else can train or improve an AI model with it; what the provider may do with it is set by its own terms (section 5).
- What is kept. What the AI reads during a task is kept in that conversation's history in your Workbench, so you can see what it read and did. It stays there, with anything you chose to keep — a summary, a document you asked for, a draft — until you delete that conversation or use Settings › Reset my data. Unlinking an account stops all further access, but does not delete what was already read.
- Never. We do not sell data from connected accounts, use it for advertising, or use it, or let anyone else use it through us, to train AI models.
- Disconnecting. Choose Unlink on Settings › Connections to remove the stored token from your Workbench. You can also remove 137x.ai's access from the service's own account settings. Settings › Reset my data erases your connected accounts along with whatever else you choose.
Some services set further rules for apps that use their data. Where they do, the subsections below describe them.
4.1 Google
A Google account lets the AI work with your Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Drive. When you connect, you choose which of the three to allow, and you can add or remove them later.
| Service | What we access, and why |
|---|---|
Gmailgmail.modify |
Reading, searching and summarising your email; preparing drafts and replies; organising messages with labels; and downloading attachments you ask about. An email is only ever sent after you approve that message — this cannot be switched off. If you ask, the AI can read some of your sent mail to suggest a writing style guide, which you review before it is used. If you switch on an automation that reacts to new mail, the Service checks your inbox for new messages while it is on. |
Google Calendarcalendar |
Reading your calendars and events, finding free time, and — with your approval unless you choose otherwise — creating, changing, cancelling and responding to events. |
Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slidesdrive |
Searching and reading files you ask about, and creating, uploading, editing, sharing or moving files to the bin — with your approval for each change unless you choose otherwise. |
Your Google addressuserinfo.email |
Showing which Google account is connected. |
The rules at the top of this section apply to Google user data. In addition, with Google user data:
- We do not sell it or transfer it to advertising platforms, data brokers or information resellers.
- We do not use it for advertising, including retargeting, personalised or interest-based ads.
- We do not use it, or transfer it to anyone, to create, train or improve any AI or machine-learning model.
- We do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
- No person at 137x.ai reads it unless you first agree to us viewing specific messages, events or files (for example, for support), it is necessary for security or to investigate abuse, or the law requires it.
- We transfer it to a buyer or successor of our business only after asking for and receiving your explicit consent first.
- You can remove 137x.ai's access at any time from your Google Account's third-party access page.
137x.ai's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The use of information received from Google Workspace scopes will adhere to the Google Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. AI model providers
The AI in your Workbench runs on a model you choose. It may be:
- a model we make available in the Service;
- a provider you connect with your own API key; or
- an open-source model that runs on your own computer, in the desktop app.
When the AI works on a request, the content it needs — your message, the conversation, and any document, email or other data the task reads — is sent to that model provider only to produce the response. For a model we make available, the provider handles it under our agreement with it; for your own API key, under your agreement with that provider — choose one whose terms do not let it train on or keep what you send. With an on-device model, that content is processed on your computer and is not sent to a model provider. We do not use your content to train AI models.
A model we make available is reached through a model proxy we run, which passes each request to the provider and records its usage — which model, how many tokens, the cost — to apply budgets and limits. It does not keep your messages or the answers.
6. How we use information, and why we may
- To provide the Service you signed up for — because it is necessary to perform our agreement with you.
- To maintain and secure the Service, prevent abuse and fix problems, and to keep the audit log — because we have a legitimate interest in a safe, accountable service.
- To answer access requests and support questions, and to send messages about your account, such as an invitation or a password reset — to take the steps you asked for, or under our agreement.
- To meet legal obligations and to enforce our Terms of Service — because the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.
- Where we rely on your consent, such as for notifications, you can withdraw it at any time by switching it off. Connecting an account is part of the Service you asked for, and you can end it at any time by unlinking.
We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we make no decisions about you by automated means alone that have legal or similarly significant effects.
7. Who we share it with
- Our administrators can see your account details and the audit log and manage your access. They cannot view your Workbench in the Service.
- The AI model provider configured for your Workbench, as described in section 5 — through our model proxy when it is a model we make available.
- Services you connect, such as Google or Microsoft, when the AI acts on your account at your request.
- Our service providers, who process information for us and only on our instructions: Google Cloud, which hosts the Service; our email provider, which delivers invitations, password resets and access requests; if you turn notifications on, your browser's or phone's push notification service (a notification only says that something needs you, never its content); and, if you download an on-device model in the desktop app, the site that serves the model file (Hugging Face), which receives your IP address.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect people's safety or the security of the Service.
- A successor, if The AI Technology FZ-LLC is reorganised, merged or sold, under the protections of this policy — and, for Google user data, only with your explicit consent first (section 4.1).
8. Where it is stored, and how it is protected
- The hosted Service runs on Google Cloud servers, which may be in a country other than yours, so your information may be transferred abroad. We will tell you where your data is stored on request. If you use the desktop app, the AI and its Workbench run on your own computer; if you also have a hosted Workbench, that copy is stored on Google Cloud.
- Each person has their own Workbench, kept apart from everyone else's. Through the Service only its owner can open it; our administrators cannot. Our staff do not look at what is in a Workbench unless you first agree to us viewing specific items (for example, for support), it is necessary for security or to investigate abuse, or the law requires it.
- Connections to the Service are encrypted (HTTPS). Keys and sign-in app credentials we configure are stored encrypted. Content the AI reads from the web, email or files is treated as data, not as instructions, and actions that matter ask you first.
- A model provider may process content in other countries, under its terms.
- Where the law of your country requires a safeguard for a transfer abroad, we rely on one it recognises, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
9. How long we keep it
- Your work stays until you delete it or use Settings › Reset my data. If your account is deleted, your Workbench and its files are kept for 30 days so a mistake can be undone, and then removed for good.
- Meeting recordings are deleted automatically 30 days after their transcript is ready. The transcript stays until you delete it.
- Connected-account tokens stay until you unlink the account, the service revokes them, or your Workbench is removed.
- Account details and the audit log are kept while you have an account, and afterwards only as long as the law requires.
- Access requests and server logs are kept only as long as needed to handle the request or keep the Service secure.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your information, to restrict or object to how it is used, or withdraw a consent you gave. Much of this you can do yourself: unlink an account in Settings › Connections, delete conversations and documents, or erase whole categories in Settings › Reset my data. For anything else, write to contact@137x.ai. We will answer within one month; if a request is complex we may take up to two more months, and we will tell you why. You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live or work. We are subject to the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), whose regulator is the UAE Data Office.
11. Children
The Service is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
12. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you in the Service or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, and we will not use data from a connected account in a new way without your consent.
